Whale and Dolphin watching now in Las Galletas October 21, 2009
Posted by NewsMan in : News , trackbackFor those of you who don’t know there are permanently resident pods of Pilot whales and Dolphins between here and La Gomera, the next of the Canary Islands if you head west and north a bit. There are a number of boats which run trips out to see these animals with most of the boats based in Puerto Colon. With the opening of the harbour here in Las Galletas the owners of the Muscat have decided to relocate.

Now I will freely admit that I have been a bit anti these trips in the past, partly as Puerto Colon is a bit of a pain to get to from Las Galletas and I’m not into booze cruises, which some operators run them as.
Having said that I’ve changed my mind. The guys on the Muscat know what they are doing and it’s a good way to see these animals and blow off gas at the same time.
Before any of you ask we can’t run the RIB out there to dive with them sorry

We went out on Mustcat last Saturday and it was fantastic, even though we had to get from Los Cristianos!
We have sailed from Puerto Colon in the past but I have to say this was so much better, seemed to be more relaxing and enjoyable.
The crew were brilliant and I would recommend this trip to anyone, no everyone that wants to see the whales and dolphins whilst in Tenerife.
