What’s a going on? This month seems to the month for Rescue Courses. Seeing all of them were done before the rain hit the UK I’m getting suspicious that some people might know something I don’t.

Nice hair cut. Many congrats to Pete Quayle who passed his Rescue Course with us having been given a diving pass from Donna his other non-diving half.

Pete is Andy Quayle son. Andy dives with us when he’s not busy with the ultimate guide to a good curry here in Tenerife. www.tenerife-curries.com

El Hierro Trip July 2007 July 25, 2007

This July’s El Hierro trip consisted of 10 and 1/4 of us, the 1/4 being young Makayla, disapearing for a week to La Restinga whilst I left Sarah (the boss) here in Tenerife dealing with other customers.  Ian and Shelly along with Chris and Maureen arrived first having stopped off in Gran Canaria, Grahame, Eleanor, Alan, Craig, Belinda and Makayla arrived in Tenerife the following day.  Diving started the moment we arrived in La Restinga. Diving on the edges of a marine reserve means that you get the big stuff my highlights of the trip has to be get up close and personal with an enormous grouper along with hanging on to the rocks in El Bahon whilst 200 plus 1/2metre sea chub came into feed around the divers. I put a video of these fish on the video section of the website shortly.

Then of course there was Makayla covering herself in food in the restarants and going off on her wanders during lunch.  Although originally planned 14 dive trip, 12 in El Hierro 2 here in Tenerife, some of the group did 19 odd dives in during the week.

Congrats to Alan and Angela, who both managed not to drown me, and passed their Rescue Diver Course. Although says she wished she had drowned me now doesn’t like her pickie. Alan and Angela both of whom are returning customers AKA “Ahah and Shark Bait” Alan had stayed on from the El Hierro Trip, see Trip report.

Due to pressures of work and various other reasons Tim and Emma should have joined the main horrors but were forced to come over a week later. This was their second trip over here, it was on Tims recommendation the main horrors joined us. Neadless to say there were huge amounts of shenanigans went on see Tims pic.
