Lothar and Anna…the mad Germans! April 29, 2007
Posted by TheBoss in : Customers , add a commentThey only came for a couple of dives, 16 dives later! Lothar an instructor who spent a couple of years working in the in the Maldives and his significant other spent over a week diving with us. They had in fact come to see a mutual friend here in Tenerife but couldn’t resist having a few dives. Not sure if our mutual friend is still taking to us opps! The following are pickies from the Meridian and of a 2m+ Butterfly Ray.
Canarian Lobsters April 27, 2007
Posted by cbs in : Aquatic Wildlife Tenerife , add a commentMost people are familiar with the clawed lobsters found in many parts of the world. If you havn’t chased them on a dive you may well have eaten them with egg yolks, sherry, and an oven browned cheese crust in Lobster Thermidor.
Much rarer is the Canarian Lobster a looking strange creature which more resembles a giant wood louse and has lost it’s claws. They are really difficult to spot having a carapace that resembles rock. On a recent dive we were lucky enough to spot on and have a camera.
